First Lady of Ogun State Mrs Olufunso Amosun to Sponsor 9 year Old Korede The Boy Chained by his Father to university level

On July, 9-year-old Korede Taiwo was rescued by the NSCDC from the premises of the Celestial Church of Christ in Ajibawo in Ogun State after he was chained there by his father for over a month.

Today, Korede is hopeful for a brighter tomorrow.

 The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, has revealed that she will be sponsoring Korede’s education from primary school to the university level.

Mrs. Amosun took an interest in Korede after his case was made known to the Ogun state government. She had personally visited him at the Paediatric Unit of the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Abeokuta, where he was treated and had also stated that she was passionate about his well-being.

Now Amosun has made good on her promise. The Director of Child Development Services, Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mr. Kehinde Egbeolowo revealed yesterday that Korede has been enrolled as a nursery one pupil in a private school with boarding facilities in the state.

A female self-confessed ‘child-kidnapping witch doctor’ -was stripped naked and beaten before being sexually assaulted after she was caught right in the act.
