Angry Secondary School Students Set Classrooms on fire Because they failed promotion Exams

Blocks of classrooms were set ablaze in Oyo on Thursday, marking theworst phase of secondary school students’ unrest that began days ago over mass failure in exams.


According to teachers, the classrooms set on fire were at Isale Community High School, Oyo Town. But students elsewhere have threatened to cause similar damage to public property in their schools.

Crisis erupted on Monday following mass failure in the last promotion examinations across secondary schools in Oyo State.

Fire service agents were quickly drafted to the school to extinguish the fire.

A female self-confessed ‘child-kidnapping witch doctor’ -was stripped naked and beaten before being sexually assaulted after she was caught right in the act. The woman – it is reported – had been caught red-handed trying to lure away young children with promises of ice cream in Imo state. The brutal mob turned the tables on the alleged child snatcher, who was subjected to a brutal beating as she was paraded naked around a village.
