- The Saturday night tanker accident at Kinungi has left Kenyans all over the country sad and appalled
- A tanker with flammable chemicals rammed into five vehicles that were stuck in traffic and burst into flames
- Reports indicate that at least 40 people perished in the grisly accident
A few hours before the accident that took lives along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway, a couple was walking down the aisle at a Nakuru church.
Friends and family had come in droves to witness the two sharing in holy matrimony. Unbeknownst to them, they would be married for only 3 hours.
When the night came, the couple and their driver left Nakuru for their honeymoon. They would be spending a few weeks basking in the hot Lamu sun.

Relatives mourn the death of their loved ones
At Kinungi where a slight traffic jam had built up, the couple just like the rest of the people on the road didn't know that an accident was about to happen.
They were among the Kenyans who were burnt beyond recognition when a tanker rammed into five vehicles and spreading fire to scores more.

Their story was shared on social media by a family friend who was trying to come into terms with the death of the two only hours into their marriage.
