Reasons why women get more headaches than men
Headaches are certainly not a walk in the park but did you know that women are more susceptible?
Research have shown that women are nearly twice as likely to suffer headaches as men. Here are a few reasons.

Baby
Study shows that 16 women suffer their first migraine after they have conceived. Even after childbirth, such issues like sleep deprivation and stress can cause headaches.
Career
Women are also more likely than men to suffer headaches due to their jobs. Stress can lead to tension headaches, which affect half of adults and are more common in women than men. This ache feels like a tight, but usually tolerable, band of pain around the head.
Exercise
Women who exercise over their limit, especially when it comes to cardiovascular exercises, can experience more headaches.
Menopause
Women suffer up to 60 per cent as many migraines in the years before and during the menopause. Symptoms are usually fatigue, neck pain and sensitivity to noise and light.
Ageing
Women over 50 often experience what is known as hypnic headaches. Often referred to as alarm clock headaches, this kind usually occurs between the hours of 1am and 3am
