Teenage students set to marry following birth of their baby

The founder and leader of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim has said the teenage couple under his care who recently had their child, will get married at the right time. According to him, he will be responsible for the care of their new-born baby, while the father in question returns to finish his basic education and then his Senior High School education. Teen couple dedicate their baby in church.
He also said the mother of the child will be given the adequate attention as she takes care of her baby. Speaking to Adom FM, the head pastor of the God's Way Church said: "The two of them have agreed to marry and I think the boy is not prepared for marriage now since he is still in school. I have decided to sponsor his education until such a time he will be independent enough to keep his and child as a responsible father.” In 2016, the reports of Bishop Obinim flogging the teenage couple during a live service in church for pre-marital relations, caused quite the ruckus in the media. The incident was reported to the police, and the bishop was brought for questioning and subsequently arrested on charges of assault.

Even though he has been released since, the case against him is still pending. Earlier this week, the couple presented their new baby to the bishop for his blessing. They also expressed gratitude to him for his support and understanding during the course of the pregnancy.

A female self-confessed ‘child-kidnapping witch doctor’ -was stripped naked and beaten before being sexually assaulted after she was caught right in the act.
