World's Heaviest kid undergoes successful surgery

A 10-year-old boy, Arya Permana had the unchecked habit of drinking cola and eating noodles and thus he gained excessive weight. Weighing around 192kg, he got the moniker of world's most obese kid and now doctors conducted a bariatric surgery on him, following which he has lost 16kg weight within 14 days of operation.
The boy missed schooling completely
Arya, who lives in West Java (Indonesia) was forced to simply wrap a sarong round his body as due to his body shape, clothes could not fitin. He was even unable to walk, due to which he missed his schooling completely. His parents approached doctors pleading to save their son. Initially, the doctors put him on a strict diet control and allowed him to eat only vegetables and fruits.
However, the child only lost 6 kg. The doctors last month carried sleeve gastrectomy on him, which would reduce the size of his stomach. Effectively, his stomach will limit the portion of the meal and giving him the sense that he is full. In his body, following the operation, the production of the ghrelin hormone is also likely to reduce, which would further reduce his hunger.
“We are happy and relieved”
According to the doctors treating him claimed that the kid has apparently lost nearly 16kg within 14 days of the operation. He also lost an additional 2.7kg thereafter. "We are happy and relieved but he is still overweight for his age. We are hoping that one day he will lose all the extra weight and be as healthy as other children at his class," his mother was quoted saying.
